In most countries your employer can put training through as a business cost, while you would be paying for it out of income that has already been taxed. The gap is wide. In the UK it is close to double, so it is worth asking before you buy.

I’d like to put myself through Multiply Academy’s training programme. The hours come out of work I’d be doing anyway (the exercises are my real deliverables), and what it frees is the capacity we’re short of.
It changes how I’d work (AI produces the work, I direct it), and the results are measured from each person’s real output, not surveyed: their published median at the end of the programme is 2.2× what the same person produces by hand.
What sign-off needs to know:
- About ten weeks, done through my day job. No time out of the diary, no cohort dates; the exercises are my actual work, so the hours produce real deliverables for us.
- $3,500 per person, one-time. No UK VAT is charged. I can send a proforma if you need one, and the receipt comes in [your company]’s name.
- Their worked example: a professional costing $75,000 a year all-in recovers the fee in about three weeks at their published median.
- What stays: a permanent change in how I work, built on files we own. No subscription, no renewal required.

“What does it actually cost us?”
$3,500 per person, paid once, flat. No UK VAT applies, and none appears on the invoice.
Wherever you are, staff training is normally deductible against business profits, so the figure your finance team actually carries is lower again.
There is no subscription and nothing to re-approve next year.

“Where would the hours come from?”
This is the real question under the money one. It runs through the day job: modules take three to five focused hours each, roughly 25 to 35 hours over about ten weeks, and the exercises are your own real work produced to standard, so the hours make deliverables while the skill installs.
It isn’t another thing on the pile. It’s the way over the pile.
“Is our data safe?”
Nowhere without your say-so; that’s the design. Working files stay on your own machines, nothing is uploaded in bulk, and data moves only when the person working chooses to send it. On commercial plans the model provider is contractually prohibited from training on it.

“Why not just buy everyone an AI licence?”
A licence distributes potential, not practice: every organisation now owns more AI capability than it uses, and without the skill, usage plateaus within weeks. Most already have the tools and unchanged output. That gap is the thing this closes.
03What to attach
An approver signs off against a document.
Three, all ungated, none of them asking anyone for an email address.
Attach it every time. The measured results, and the method behind them. It answers “says who?”, which is the first thing a careful approver thinks and the last thing they say.
Attach it if IT or security will see this. Written for them: what leaves the machine, retention by plan, who is legally responsible, and what you can control centrally.
Attach it if the question is why it will stick rather than what it costs. The learning science the programme is built on, and why training that changes behaviour looks different from training that doesn’t.
04The paperwork
Proforma, PO, and a receipt in your company’s name.
- A proforma invoice for the purchase order, generated with the email above: your company’s name and address, the quantity, the total and any VAT. It is for approval rather than payment, so once it’s signed off you come back to the checkout, or email us and we’ll issue an invoice.
- Card or invoice, whichever suits finance. Pay by card and access starts within the hour; or take an invoice and pay by transfer.
- The receipt comes in your company’s name, with any VAT shown, and can be reissued at any time.
- Buying from outside the UK? A business with a valid EU VAT number is invoiced under reverse charge; outside the EU, no UK VAT applies. Add your tax number at the checkout and it’s handled there.
- Nothing renews. One payment, per person, and no second approval next year.
